EMC Update
Due to the evolving COVID-19 situation, NSWMSC’s Emergency Medical Challenge (held in conjunction with SydCon’22) has some very important updates for you!
Registration has re-opened for EMC team nominations!
To reduce inter-state movement and likelihood of COVID-19 exposure, EMC heats will be run on the morning of March 27, and our two top scoring teams will be invited to compete on stage at our finals at SydCon 22!

New Event Information:
- Date: 27th March, 2022
- Time: 8:20 arrival for a 8:45 team briefing and 9am start
- Location: TBA, Sydney
- New Registration Closing Date: 13th of March, 6pm.
Cost: $50/ team for registration – cost will be removed if any participants have paid for full SydCon’22 registration. Billing information will be provided upon cross-checking team-members’ eligibility for free registration due to SydCon’22 full registration. Cost will also be removed at the discretion of SydCon Management.
Due to the pandemic and venue capacity limits, teams nominations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Registration will be closed on the above date unless venue capacity is reached beforehand. An announcement will be made should this happen. Stations could range from ALS scenarios, to mass trauma triaging, to broken bones and breech babies so there will be something that everyone can excel at!
